In the early Nineties, I was working as a busboy at a big hotel downtown Toronto. There was only the one bar and it was never really that busy. Back in 1987, I was obsessed with British music and television so decided I would make a trip over. Take a big backpack and travel around the country by bus and train. Stay in hostels and just do things on the cheap. After a week of travel, I ended up in a small town in the north of England.
